Sports Community

To achieve a healthier lifestyle while coping with the highly demanding study environment, one needs to be healthy, both emotionally and physically. As a part of this process, MRCAS emphasizes the importance of sports and considers them as an integral part of the curriculum which infuses discipline and instills values among young learners.

Our Objectives are to

• Inculcate sports consciousness
• Encourage skill development and sports training
• Promote the sports culture among students and Faculty

Facilities

MRCAS has a Standard Cricket ground along with nets, Volleyball (Mut court), Football (Mut Field), Kho-Kho (Mut Court), and Kabaddi (Mut Court) courts for physical education and sports activities. These facilities enable students to maintain physical fitness and develop a competitive spirit. Additionally, numerous outdoor playgrounds and indoor courts are spread across our Campus.

Sports Quota

The institution places prime importance on enrolling students who have excelled in sports under the Sports Quota. Students who represent and achieved at the National level competitions are eligible for  a 100% scholarship, at the State-level are eligible for 50% scholarship, and District level are eligible for 25% scholarship.

MRCAS offers sports scholarships and monetary awards to encourage outstanding performers and medalists in sports.

Intercollegiate Sports

MRCAS offers a variety of intercollegiate sports programs for both men and women which are affiliated with Madurai Kamaraj University (Zone-B). Our teams compete in State and National competitions, representing our college with pride.

Intramural Sports

We also have a vibrant intramural sports program that allows students of all skill levels to participate in friendly competitions within our college community. “Whether you are a seasoned athlete or just looking for some recreational fun, our intramural sports program has something for everyone” 

MRCAS Inter-school Cricket Tournament

1st Inter School Cricket Tournaments from 04/10/2023 to 06/10/2023. Around 10 School Teams from Madurai District Participated & Winners – Grace Matriculation Higher School
